I worked for Terminix for a little over a year. It was a last resort position. First of all, after working pest control I know now what a ripoff it is. There is no reason to charge a customer $100 4 times a year when the customer could do the service himself. All the add ons were ridiculous, Terminix thinks charging $20 for an exclusion done on the spot is a fair sell when again the customer could do this himself for much cheaper. Second, Salt Lake had a dimwit of a Branch Manager who nothing about the business but thought he was great because he was an “excellent salesman” at another non-pest control company. He basically ran the branch into the ground and thought that “calling meetings” would resolve problems. He was finally fired but why it took so long, who knows? Service Managers basically ran the branch for that whole time. Having worked pest control, if I hear of someone thinking of hiring Terminix or another company, I quickly talk them out of it. No reason waste your money. Lastly, Terminix puts techs on a “route pay” system and talks it up as being able to make more money. I was hired on making $16 and hour but once I was put on route pay I ended up working looooongg hours and making significantly less money. It’s an underhanded way of getting more for less on Terminix’s part. Sleezy company.

If you have been wronged by Terminix or another termite company, you don't have to fight alone.
