I worked for Terminix from 1991-1998. It was under a franchise situation. Two weeks before Christmas in 1997, the owner George Brauburger summons the entire company to Richmond, VA for a meeting. It’s like, alright we’re getting our Christmas bonus (1% of your gross) LOL early. Not quite. He takes the podium and says “I have sold the company to Terminix International and you’re all working for them now. They collected our keys and inspected the trucks. Then we spent the next several hours filling out paperwork for our jobs. Over the next few days, they fired all branch managers (people that have been there for years), closed our branch in Fredericksburg, moved it to Newington, VA, then Sterling, VA. Cut pay drastically, and put two of the stupidest managers in charge. Ron and Alben. Needless to say, customers were not getting serviced or called properly. Hire a local company. Hire me, when I am up and running. I’ve been in the business 20 years.
